Bus Companies to Provide Service to Philadelphia

Bethlehem, PA – With the closure of the Bieber Transportation Group, four major motorcoach companies are stepping in to provide service to Philadelphia. Although Bieber Transportation will no longer operate service from Lehigh Valley to New York City and Philadelphia destination points, Trans-Bridge Lines, Fullington Trailways, Martz Trailways and Greyhound Bus have made changes in schedules and routes to facilitate needs.

Fullington Trailways currently offers service from the Allentown Bus Terminal and Quakertown (100 North West End Boulevard) to Philadelphia. Martz Trailways, which also serves the Allentown Bus Terminal, will be including Quakertown Park and Ride to it’s route stops, as well as an extra run. Additionally, Greyhound Bus runs out of the Easton Intermodal Transportation Center with runs to Philadelphia.

Trans-Bridge Lines is offering service from Lehigh Valley International Airport (LVIP/ABE) and Bethlehem Transportation Center to Doylestown where transportation to Philadelphia can be obtained through use of the SEPTA Train. Cost for this bus service is $4.00 One-Way or $8.00 Round-Trip. Trans-Bridge and Lanta can connect Bethlehem passengers to Allentown Bus Terminal as well. From there, passengers can take a Fullington or Martz Trailways bus onto Philadelphia.

Trans-Bridge Lines operates from Wescosville and Hellertown to New York City with eight weekday trips and has the capacity to accommodate former Bieber passengers. Trans-Bridge will have additional coaches available to handle the increase in passenger loads. Commuter needs will continue to be monitored and additional runs or schedule modifications will be considered as future needs are determined.

These four motorcoach companies are helping support the local bus terminals by paying ticket operators commissions and fees. Without this financial support, the terminals would be unable to remain open to assist bus passengers.
