Reduced Fares
Reduced Fares apply to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and military personnel. The reduced fares apply only to trips with a New Jersey or New York City destination or point of origin including Port Authority Bus Terminal, and Newark Airport. Reduced Fares do not apply to Special Same-Day Fares to Wind Creek Bethlehem.
A valid ID is required when purchasing all Reduced Fare tickets and boarding the coach. If a valid ID is not shown, the customer cannot purchase a Reduced Fare ticket or board the bus with that ticket.
Trans-Bridge will not delay the departure time of buses when passengers cannot present proper ID for a Reduced Fare ticket when boarding. Reduced Fare tickets are available online or from our Authorized Ticket Agents. Reduced Fare tickets are not available for purchase from the motorcoach driver or the Wall Street area.
Trans-Bridge Lines is a fully reservation-based company. Anyone purchasing a Reduced Fare ticket at the New Jersey Transit ticket windows 1-10 will be considered a standby passenger. Standby passengers will be boarded after those passengers with a reservation. To avoid being a standby passenger, please purchase your tickets online or by visiting another Authorized Ticket Agent location.
Senior citizens (age 62 and over) are eligible for Reduced Fares on all scheduled runs with proper ID.
Individuals with disabilities must present a New Jersey Transit Reduced Fare ID or Medicare Card to obtain a reduced fare.
Military personnel and their dependents must present a valid military or military-dependent ID card. Eligible personnel includes Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard, and those with an official “Retired” status from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard.
Veterans with service-connected disabilities may present a valid Veterans Affairs (VA) card which indicates “service-connected”.
Due to the additional fees added by the Port Authority, tickets purchased at the New Jersey Transit ticket windows for travel to and from our New Jersey-based bus stops to the Port Authority, will have a surcharge calculated into their cost.
